Whenever I can, I buy natural or organic products (make up, skin care, food, etc). The sad part is that not always they are the best. So I try not to be too crazy about that and if there is something I love that is not natural, I use that.
But in this review I'll be talking about a better product. It's 'Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls' by Physician's Formula (I love their 'face sculpting trio' powder!). They come with a brush and mirror in the same box, but I find it not comfortable to use a mirrow which comes under the powder. I don't like the brush and would recooment using it only in emergency situations. Though there are only few products that come with brushes that I like - all the others are not worth using and should be thrown away at once. By the way, not all packages have pearl on the lid, so don't worry if there's not one on yours. So I got these in two colours: 'translucent pearl' and 'light bronze' and love both colours. They both give a beautiful solid shimmer which reminds me of Dior shimmers (but PF give different shades). 'Translucent pearl' gives a creamy-white shimmer, looks perfect as highlighter or can be used alone on cheeks.
'Light bronze' gives a bronze shimmer - it looks great on cheeks! I love using it on my cheeks when I wear bronzer, but if I wear just powder (as I said in another post, my skin is very light) it doesn't look very nice as it's a bit too dark for me. I make it lighter using a clean brush, but it's too much playing for me, so keep it for those days when I have darker skin.

Guerlain meteorites powder
So... finally I started my blog. I've been told I should do it for a long time, but never found the right moment. However, today I'm sitting at home with my puppy (an amazingly beautiful cairn terrier), drinking tea, enjoying the morning and decided that it's time to start blogging.
For my first post I chose to comment on Guerlain meteorites. There was time when I was crazy about those!!! I wanted to try all of them and price didn't matter. But after a while (which is few years) I lost my interested and the reason for that is that I didn't find any of them to do miracles. Well, let me tell more about what that thing called 'meteorites' is. Probably many of make up fans know this already, but I hope some new girls in that area may learn something. It's a powder by Guerlain, but in real life it's not only powder - the usage depends on the type as there are so many meteorites. Some of them are good for whole face, some just for cheeks, others go just as highlighter due to the glitters/shimmer. All meteorites come in 33g/1.2oz box, except for 'Midnight butterfly' ones that came in 60g/2.12oz box. There are 3 regular meteorites: 'Mythic', 'Pink Fresh' and 'Beige Chic' (they are being replaced by new regular meteorites 'Teint rose', 'Teint beige' and 'Teint dore' - these come in different box design and has a little bit smaller amount). All the other meteorites are limited editions which are usually released for Christmas (or for some special market). The limited ones are more shiny, have more glitters/shimmer in them, but that is not always - some are very simple. Keep in mind that most of them don't give colour to the skin, just undertone, but there are few which do give colour. There are also compact meteorites with mirrors (they are 3 times smaller than regular amount and they only come with 'Mythic' and all limited editions). There are also 3 (+1 limited) compact meteorites, in different boxes, but let's keep those out for now (I'll be doing a review on the limited one, so will tell about all those then).
Let me tell about some of the meteorites I've tried or used. To let you better understand my comments, I'll mention that my skin is very light with neutral undertone. So, first I heard about meteorites 3-4 years ago when everyone was crazy about 'Mythic' in one of discussion sites. It was said that 'Mythic' makes a miracle, the skin gets healthy glow, it evens out the colour of skin, the make up stays in place better, etc, etc, etc.... Of course I had to try it and when I did, I was disappointed. It did nothing to me. I saw no concealing, no skin being all even, no glow, nothing.... The first time I tried, I tried compact, so later I got the balls also, but the result was the same. Some comments online said you need to really work a lot with it to get results: to swirl brush over balls, put powder on face, then again swirl in box and on face and again and again and again... Which looked stupid for me as you have to spend so much time... I can't remember which was the second type I tried, but I'll comment all I did and the result I got.
-'Beige chic' was a really nice one, I saw result without playing with swirling the brush for hours, it even gave me very light color (tiny tan), but my disappointment was that it had yellow undertone which didn't go with my skin tone. I never tried 'Pink fresh', but it's said it gives very healthy glow if applied to face or goes as blush applied to cheeks - just be carefull not to put too much when putting on all face.
-'Pucci' was the limited edition. It had all colours of balls, gave a beautiful light pink colour and was great as subtle blush. However, it also didn't conceal anything as it should have due to those colorful balls.
-'Perles de velours' also LE meteorites, had the strongest color of all meteorites - if put lightly on the face, it gave a tan, but if you put too much, it gave red undertone which looked funny. I'd say it's great as blush or for the face for those who have darker skin (but still not too much).
-'Pastel white' is LE for Asian market. I had no result with it, just few glitters.
-'Absolute white' is also Asian LE. It has only white balls which come in few white shades (photos bellow). The result it gave me was whitish shimmer with glitters. I'd say it perfect as highlighter.
-'Gold temptation' also LE. These are very glittery/shimmery, but I loved them. They gave me silver shimmer and I still used them for my cheeks. I've used those for all face also in the past and was happy with the result.
-'Midnight butterfly' again LE meteorites. These give me a light tan, have glitters, but when applied it looks great and gives skin really healthy look. I love these!
-'Perles imperiales' is LE from Christmas 2009 (photo bellow). I kept only the pink/purple balls and few of other colors and use them for the cheeks - they give beautiful pink shimmer. You can use the rest of the balls for the face as powder. However, when all colors were together, I didn't like the result on my face as it was too glittery/shimmery and was too pinkish.
P.S. sorry for the photos - don't know how to rotate once it's uploaded (in computer it's all right, just when uploaded they change) - I'll learn eventually. :) Or if anyone can tell me about that, let me know.
